family picture

I was being creative the other day and came up with this family portrait. There are a few funny things going on, sorry if the picture is a little small to see:

-baby brother is riding Momma's shoulders (that's why he is on top of her head)
-Dad's hair is covering one of his eyes (because I've noticed at school boys think they are 'cool' with their hair like that)
-we are jumping up in the air (like the High School Musical pictures I see)

I wrote this one for my very special teacher for the last day of school:

To my happy nice teacher
Who always gives me joy,
I will miss Y-O-U and
I love you too.

(Yes, I even put the dashes inbetween the y-o-u! Heaven knows where I learned that!)

The other day, I heard Mom stomping around the room teasing my Dad and I ran into the room and asked, "Momma! Are you steaming mad or something?" Good thing she wasn't, she was just teasing my Dad and my brothers.

poem

I am figuring out meter, rhyme and how everything fits together in poetry. I did this one all by myself.

I hate you
I'm sorry I do
You find me
And I find you
I love you
I'm sorry I do.

butterflies and ladybugs

In her OWN words:

In school right now, we're learning about butterflies and ladybugs. Their wings are permanent. A butterfly starts out as a catterpillar and then it gets in its cocoon and then hatches out into a beautiful butterfly. Before the ladybug dies, it lays eggs. Then other ladybugs take its place. I like butterflies better than ladybugs right now.

welcome to my blog!

I love to read Junie B. Jones books and I'm starting to write poetry. I wanted to share them with my friends and family, so Momma started my blog! This blog is for my creative thoughts and my poems!
